The Lumpkin County Living History Association was formed in 2007 by three living historians who possess a combined 60+ years of experience participating in, and sponsoring living history events spanning time from 1600 to 1895. Each person brings their own individual experiences to the organization creating a rich diversity of knowledge that combine to create the Lumpkin County Living History Association. The purpose of forming the LCLHA is to preserve and promote the history and rich heritage of Dahlonega and Lumpkin County . This is done through historical reenactments, educational seminars and other events relating to specific historical periods providing the citizens of Lumpkin County and others a glimpse into their past.
