This house was the last residence of Captain Jesse McDonald.

Captain McDonald was the Captain of Company E Phillips' Legion Georgia Infantry Army of North Virginia "The Blue Ridge Rifles"

The McDonald house is one of the oldest houses in Lumpkin County, Georgia and is in desperate need of repair.
